3/9/24 Keith Moser Memorial Service
D. Keith Moser, age 94, was reunited in heaven with his beloved wife of 66 years, Alta G. Moser, on Wednesday, December 13, 2023. He was born on September 28, 1929, in Denver, Colorado to the late Lester Dale and Eva Lena (Price) Moser. Keith was gregarious, a great conversation leader. As a youth he was a cheerleader in high school and college, worked several jobs, and sang in a touring a cappella choir. He studied English at Rockmont College (B.A. 1952) where felt called to the Presbyterian ministry and earned his Divinity degree in 1955 from San Francisco Theological Seminary. Keith was ordained at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Ontario, CA in 1955, where he met and wed his beautiful bride, Alta. After their marriage in 1957, he earned his Master of Religious Education degree in 1959 from the Southern California School of Theology, Claremont (Alta typed his papers on a rented electric typewriter.) The Reverend D. Keith Moser served several Presbyterian churches after Westminster—in Byers, CO; Laporte, CO; Casper, WY; Minneapolis, MN; and finally 25 years at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Upper Arlington, Ohio, until his retirement in 1996. There he and Alta found not just a job but a home and many friends, where they raised their children, and they continued to attend services there until they could no longer travel but maintained their relationship with Covenant always. Keith will be greatly missed by his children, Alison Stuart (Patrick) and Eric Moser (Patricia) and his grandchildren, Monica Moser, Julia Moser, Sheamus Stuart, and Duncan Stuart. Alta and Keith will also be missed dearly by their friends and devoted staff at Friendship Village of Dublin. In addition to his parents, Keith was preceded in death by his stepfather, Robert A. Ballard, and cousin Ione Epperson, who was as close as a sister to him.
